What to Expect after a Moderate or Deep Chemical Peel

  • Several days to two weeks of crusting and scabbing depending on the depth of the peel
  • The rejuvenated skin will resemble a sunburn for weeks to months depending on the depth of the peel
  • The skin will need to be protected from the sunlight for 6-9 months to avoid hyperpigmentation or blotchy brown spots
  • Skin peeling is an important tool in maintaining healthier skin and should be considered by those individuals with damaged skin
